Road Closures & Parking Suspension information

ROAD CLOSURES

The following length of road shall be closed to all vehicular traffic between the hours of 5.30pm Friday 11th November until 10:00pm on Saturday 12th November 2016:

  • Great Dockray – From its junction with West Lane to its junction with Castlegate and from junction with Princes Street and Castlegate (Both sides of road)

The following lengths of road shall be closed to all vehicular traffic between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm on Saturday 12th November 2016:

  • Middlegate from its junction with Burrowgate
  • Devonshire Street (full length)
  • King Street to junction with Crown Square
  • Market Square
  • Great Dockray, along both sides between its junctions with Cornmarket and Princes Street and West Lane

ROLLING ROAD CLOSURE FOR PROCESSION

The following lengths of road shall be closed between 5.30pm – 6.30pm on Saturday 12th November 2016 as and when signs are displayed:

  • Brentfield Way from junction with Brentfield Gardens to the junction with Fell Lane
  • Fell Lane from junction with Brentfield Way to the junction with Benson Row
  • Sandgate from junction with Benson Row to junction with Albert Street
  • Albert Street (full length)
  • Corney Place to the junction with Corney Square
  • Middlegate to its junction with Burrowgate
  • Crown Square (full length)
  • Princes Street (full length)
  • West Lane

PARKING BAY SUSPENSION/ CAR PARK CLOSURES  

All on-street parking along Middlegate shall be suspended from 5.00 – 6.30pm on Saturday 12th November 2016.

The following lengths of road shall be kept free of all parked vehicles and obstructions between the hours of 00.00am and 10.00pm on Saturday 12th  November 2016:

  • Devonshire Street
  • King Street
  • Market Square
  • Great Dockray
  • Corn Market

The following areas shall be kept free of all parked vehicles and obstructions between the hours of 5.30pm Friday 11th November and 10:00pm on Saturday 12th November 2016:

  • Great Dockray car park and roads from its junction with West Lane to its junction with Castlegate and from junction with Princes Street and Castlegate.
